On Friday June 22, 2018 the second season of Cooper’s Treasure will air on the Discovery Channel at 9PM EST.

Cooper’s Treasure is a new documentary series that tells the incredible story of a legendary astronaut and the secret treasure map he began from space. In the 1960s, Gordon Cooper was one of NASA’s original space pioneers, breaking the record for the longest space flight while completing a 122 hour mission. Sent to detect nuclear sites, it was on this mission he discovered something extraordinary that he would keep secret for over 40 years.

Before he passed away, Gordon shared his secret with his long-time friend Darrell Miklos in the hope that the exploration would continue and the mystery would finally be solved. Now, the one man Gordon trusted has the research and evidence, together with Gordon’s map from space and is setting out with a team of seasoned explorers and researchers to once and for all accomplish his friend’s long-held dream – to uncover the world’s greatest treasures.

If you tune in to the premiere you may recognize some familiar logos, products and gear – Like a ship, two tenders, scooters and submarines all affiliated with the Brownie’s brand. It’s no coincidence, in fact it was all due to the hard work of Brownie’s Marine Group CEO, the legendary Robert Carmichael (RMC) who, during the production expedition, spent 20+ days sleeping outside on the deck of his own 38′ Fountain in order to make it happen.

It all started in December 2017, when the show’s producers reached out to Brownie’s Global Logistics / GlobalSubDive the operator of two beautiful triton submarines called NEMO and NOMAD, a powerful research vessel by the name M/V GO America along with a fleet of tenders and dive gear – it is the full service dive solutions company every operation dreams about. By February 6, 2018 the boats were serviced, bags were packed, ship loaded and crew briefed for the next month at sea.

Fast-forward to June 22, 2018 and the product of all that effort is showcased in the ever-interesting Cooper’s Treasure Season 2 premiere. Catch up on Season 1 for free here.

If you’re wondering how the show was filmed, Paralenz is partly to thank.

All deep water imagery on the show was filmed with Paralenz – a world class underwater camera that was mounted onto NEMO, the submersible used for filming and surveying. The cameras were routinely used to 200-meters and produced incredible imagery used in the show.
